Art Doll Challenge

I would like to join this challenge.  I have wanted to do a lot of challenges but this one really interests me.  What I will need to do is find one of my dolls that I've made and like and put a picture up on this, link it back to the challenge and go from there.  I think I can do it. Here is the site (http://dollartfuldaydreams.blogspot.com/) and here's what you do:  The first challenge of this brand new blog will be an exercise to get to know the participants. Simply post an example of one of your art dolls on your blog, with a link back to this blog. Then come and place a message in the comments area here so that participants can visit you blog and get to know you!   Wish me luck.

Father, Son and Holy Ghost

If you have any Finnish blood in you, you know what sisu means. My dad always has said that he was everything but Finnish but if you have sisu, doesn't that mean you're Finnish? I think so. He proved it to us that he does have sisu when he suffered several heart attacks. He survived every one of them even when the doctors had given up on him-he showed everyone what a tough old geezer he really is. Yeah Papa!

Here's my 10 reasons to believe:
  1. My Lord is always there
  2. My Lord takes care of my family
  3. My Lord answers all of my prayers-with his answers, not mine
  4. My Holy Spirit helps me when I don't know what I need or want
  5. My Father in Heaven gathered my family together and put his arms around all of us and we felt his presence
  6. My Father in Heaven showed everyone that what Mama has always taught us and believed was true: Thy will be done
  7. My Father's Son who died on the cross so that that my sins are covered by his blood and he still loves me
  8. My Lord who gave me the best husband any one could ask for and who takes care of me and encourages me to go to my folks
  9. My Lord who gave my husband and me the best little girl any one could ask for and who loves both her grandparents
  10. How can anyone not believe in our Triune God when he shows us love and mercy every day of our lives, thank you dear Lord Jesus Christ

10 Awe-inspiring Reasons for December 25

  1. Christmas, the reason for the season
  2. Wake up to see what Santa brought in your stocking
  3. Empty stocking and admire what's in there from Santa
  4. Have cup of coffee and start opening presents from under the tree with someone playing Santa delivering presents to you
  5. Watch everyone open their gifts
  6. Play with all things new that we got for Christmas
  7. Eat a small lunch to hold you over for Christmas dinner and work in a nap
  8. Get everything ready for dinner (turkey breast in the crock pot since 7:00am, Michael's famous stuffing, greenbean casserole, pumpkin pie, rolls, gravy)
  9. Eat that fabulous meal and enjoy the rest of the evening with the family
  10. I thank my Mother and Father for bringing me up with the knowledge of the real reason for Christmas. What beautiful memories I have with all of the Christmas' with all of us hearing the Bible story each Christmas and singing Christmas carols, one of my favorite one follows:
Away in a Manger

Away in a manger

No crib for His bed
The little Lord Jesus
Laid down His sweet head

The stars in the bright sky
Looked down where He lay
The little Lord Jesus
Asleep on the hay

The cattle are lowing
The poor Baby wakes
But little Lord Jesus
No crying He makes

I love Thee, Lord Jesus
Look down from the sky
And stay by my side,
'Til morning is nigh.

Be near me, Lord Jesus,
I ask Thee to stay
Close by me forever
And love me I pray

Bless all the dear children
In Thy tender care
And take us to heaven
To live with Thee there
